


If there is software you have to run and can't get a Mac equivalent, consider how often you have to use it and whether you're going to be focused on that software while you use it or if you're going to multitask. So check out the App Store (in the Apple menu), search the web, or ask this subreddit about suitable replacements. It's pretty uncommon to have something that doesn't have a Mac equivalent. Either you have very expensive Windows-only software and you don't want to shell out the cost of the Mac version, or you have Windows software that you are procedurally required to use for your job or school project. There are usually only 2 reasons to run Windows in the first place. There's also stuff like WINE or Crossover, but you already have a full copy of Windows, so you don't need that option. Keep in mind you have 3 options: Boot Camp, virtualization software (Parallels or VMWare Fusion), and Mac software.
